OUR LOVE STORY

How we met

When Chris came to MUSC after a motorcycle accident in May of 2022, he did not expect to leave having met his future wife. But Liz happened to be his nurse that night, and although neither of them said anything at the time, there was definitely a spark. The next evening Liz was not assigned to him but happily volunteered to help whenever she could.

After Chris was discharged, he realized he might have missed his chance. So he did something bold and wrote Liz a letter about their conversations and how he felt, but he had no idea how to get it to her. Two weeks later, Chris returned to the hospital to have his cast removed and stopped by Liz’s floor to leave the letter at the nurses' station.

When Liz came into work that night, the letter was waiting for her. Thinking it might be something work related, she opened it during the staff huddle and quickly found herself reading Chris’s heartfelt letter out loud to the entire team, feeling both incredibly flattered and embarrassed.

Two days later she finally sent a simple text: “Hey, this is Liz.” What started with a letter and a little bit of courage quickly turned into something neither of them could have imagined.

WE HOPE YOU
CAN JOIN US

Itinerary

We will be sharing a full weekend itinerary closer to the wedding. Once plans are finalized, we will add in any optional events sprinkled throughout the weekend. Jennifer, our travel agent, will help you create your itinerary and submit everything to the hotel so all you have to do is show up and enjoy.

Gift Registry

We are not doing a traditional registry, as this will not be a traditional wedding. Please know that no gift or contribution is expected or required.

Your love and support truly mean everything to us, whether you’re celebrating with us in Mexico or cheering us on from afar. That said, some friends and family have asked for a way to contribute, so we’ve included an optional way to support our wedding weekend and honeymoon for those who wish.

Attire

Dress code is beach semi-formal. Think elevated wedding attire in lightweight fabrics. No ties required, but pants are. Walkable shoes are recommended for the torch-lit cobblestone path. The ceremony and reception are on firm sand, so dress it up for the ceremony and feel free to kick off your shoes once the dancing starts.
