Resort Information

Hotel Xcaret Arte is a luxury, adults-only (16+) all-inclusive resort in Riviera Maya, about 40 minutes from Cancun Airport. The resort features eco-sustainable architecture that blends into the natural surroundings and is inspired by Mexican art and culture throughout. Hotel Xcaret Arte is made up of different Casas (buildings), each with its own personality and style. You’ll find out which Casa you’re staying in at check-in!

The All Fun, All Inclusive experience includes:

  • Airport and park transportation

  • Food and drinks

  • 24-hour room service

  • Unlimited access to eight Xcaret parks

  • Cultural workshops like dance, weaving, pottery, and more

Before You Go

Flights
Book an early arrival into Cancun International Airport (CUN), and a late departure home. There is so much to do at the resort, and you will not regret the long travel day. Staff will hold your bags until the 3:00 PM check-in, so bring anything you want with you, poolside on that first day in your carry-on.

Entry Requirements

We strongly recommend traveling with a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond your entry date. Only standard tourist passports are accepted. Passport cards and military no-fee passports are not valid for entry into Mexico. US passport holders do not need a visa to enter Mexico. Guests may be asked to pay a Visitax upon departure. This is a Cancun tourism tax of about $11 per person, paid at the airport. A link will be included in your final itinerary.

Arriving in Cancun (CUN)

After clearing customs, exit the airport and look to your right for the Xcaret Welcome Center, attached to the airport building. They will tag your bags and assign you a bus. Jennifer, our travel agent, will collect flight information and handle transportation setup for everyone.

Liz and Chris Pro Tip: Be first in line for the bus, sit toward the front, and get off first for a much, much faster hotel check-in.

What to Pack

  • At least one pair of water shoes or sneakers you do not mind getting wet

  • Multiple swimsuits

  • Waterproof phone case

  • Sunscreen and Bug spray

Liz and Chris Pro Tip: Xcaret parks require reef-safe sunscreen to protect the cenotes and wildlife. Mineral sunscreens are best. For bugs, go with a reef-safe picaridin or lemon eucalyptus spray. Apply sunscreen first, then bug spray.

The hotel will provide:

  • Toiletries such as toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and shaving cream

  • Beach bag

  • Water bottles

  • Towels, hair dryer

Liz & Chris Pro Tip: There are multiple professional photo ops around the resort and the parks. Take as many photos as you want and leave your phone tucked away. You can review everything later from your room and decide which parks you want to purchase at hotel checkout. Purchase park photos, and the hotel photo reel is free!

Room Options & Rates

Rooms at Xcaret are all very similar in size and layout, so the main difference is the view.

If you would like to preview rooms, amenities, and restaurants, you can explore them here: https://hotel-xcaret-arte.firstview.us/en/suite-garden. If you would rather keep a little mystery, feel free to skip it. We have done our best to share everything you might want to know, but part of the fun is seeing it for the first time. On our first trip, we arrived completely surprised and loved the river view from our third-floor room at Casa de la Música.

Garden rooms are the most budget-friendly and offer views of the greenery.

River rooms face the canals that run through the property and offer a more unique, “Xcaret-style” setting.

Ocean View rooms offer partial ocean views, while Ocean Front rooms are closest to the beach and offer the most direct water views.

Some rooms also include features such as swim-up or river jump/access, which let you step directly into the water from your terrace, though they offer less privacy than a standard balcony.

Casa de los Artistas is the resort's highest-tier option. This category includes a personal butler, access to a private rooftop and exclusive restaurant, and access to the neighboring family-friendly resort, Hotel Xcaret Mexico. It is truly the most premium experience on the property.
